que da aos seus participantes mas também pela premiação que esse ano ultrapassa os 200 mil dólares.

What athlete JIU-JITSU, WRESTLING, GRAPLING, SAMBO, JUDO and others did not dream in this competition??

A TROIA, the company that sponsors and supports athletes that follow, as well as its creators got there, and it is with great pride that these two days of competition will be well represented not only by our riders, but also by a strong team of representatives. Bernardo Rocha Faria, Leo Nogueira, atleta Tróia, Gustavo Junqueira, Diogo Almeida, Peinaldo Baptista, Fabiano Junior “Boi” e Fábio Romão. Essa foi a equipe montada pelo “General” da Alliance Fábio Gurgel, atleta Tróia.

Apesar do pequeno público presente no Tijuca Tênis Clube, o Campeonato Brasileiro de Equipes teve fortes emoções.

A disputa final, faixa marrom e preta pesado, ficou entre a Gracie Barra e Alliance.

Todos da equipe Alliance tiveram um ótimo resultado, dando destaque na luta de Romão com o atleta da Gracie Barra. O atleta da Alliance, fez a última luta que resultou o título para a equipe.

Contou com a participação de grandes equipes, tais como: Gracie Barra, Nova União, GF Team, Check Mat, entre outras.

No geral, quem venceu foi a equipe Nova União, que contou com o apoio de sua barulhenta torcida, segundo lugar para a GF Team, que venceu entre os marrons e pretas leve, seguido do terceiro lugar que ficou com a equipe Alliance.

Bicampeão do ADCC, Leozinho Vieira vai em busca do sonhado tricampeonato no torneio, que escapou na final para Rani Yahya, em 2007. Em conversa com a TATAME, o faixa-preta falou sobre a expectativa para o ADCC, que acontece em setembro em Barcelona, na Espanha. “Está bom, estou amarradão em estar voltando. Estou com uma equipe que está dando o maior suporte, vários amigos, todo mundo treinando… Estou muito motivado e não vejo a hora de chegar”, afirmou o líder da Checkmat.

Sem competir no Jiu-Jitsu há bastante tempo, Leozinho confirma que o seu foco, hoje, é o Submission. “As prioridades mudam um pouco cara, afinal sou pai, tenho dois filhos, tenho uma equipe, então meu foco é outro… Eu gosto de competir e vou estar sempre motivado a competir, inclusive de quimono. O que me faz ficar afastado é por conta do modelo de campeonato amador que nós temos”, afirmou, deixando clara a possibilidade de retorno ao pano. “Eu gostaria que o Jiu-Jitsu tivesse uma parte profissional. Eu estou com patrocinadores que me apóiam e tenho me sentido motivado a competir, talvez ano que vem eu me motive a lutar alguma competição de quimono”.

Pronto para o ADCC deste ano, Leozinho lamenta a ausência de Lucas Leite do torneio. “O Lucas Leite é um atleta excelente, tem lutado todos os campeonatos, já derrotou lutadores de alto nível, é muito bom sem quimono… Ele está morando nos EUA e foi campeão absoluto do Grapplers Quest… Ele merecia estar no ADCC, na categoria dele não tem ninguém da nossa equipe”, afirmou Leozinho, revelando que a Checkmat não está se preparando focada no Brasileiro de Equipes da CBJJ.

“A equipe está treinando forte para essa competição, mas temos o ADCC, a Copa Sudeste-Brasileiro, que vai rolar em São Paulo, e em breve vamos ter uma conversa sobre esse campeonato para ver como vamos entrar, se vamos priorizar ele, porque temos muitas competições lá fora, o Mundial No-Gi e outras competições que muitos atletas da nossa equipe estão querendo ir… Queremos concentrar nossas energias em uma só competição”, finalizou o líder da Checkmat.
